HEART WORDS ❤️

We are maddd learning heart words at the moment and this game is a real hit with my class ✨

Introduce the word to your class, sound it out, explain why it’s a heart word and practise spelling it out loud together 🌈

Give them a whiteboard each, ask them to write the heart word in the middle of the board…you(the teacher) should have the word written on your whiteboard too 😉

When you say go, the class race you to write the heart word in the four corners of the whiteboard BEFORE you…if any child in the class finishes first, they put the cover on their marker and say ‘BEAT THE TEACHER’ 👩🏼‍🏫

Check their whiteboard for correct spelling and neat writing…award them the star showing they beat you 🌟

Honestly, they are loving this game and really excites them about learning heart words 🫶🏻
